I don't have an actual name for this recipe as it is one that I completely created myself. It is really delicious and has now become one of our favorites though so I figured I'd share :)
Ingrediants
chicken
parmesan cheese
poultry seasoning
italian dressing (or cesar or really whatever kind you prefer)
Basically you take the chicken and rub it good on both sides with the poultry seasoning. Then throw the seasoned chicken in the crock pot. On top of it, pour the dressing until the chicken is completely covered. Then take the parmesan cheese and sprinkle it on the top. Cook on low for 7-8 hours and serve!
The combination of so many flavors in this dish make it just awesome!

Beef Stew in Crock Pot
It occurred to me that I've posted all chicken recipes so far, so here is a beef one.
Ingrediants:
1-2 packages of beef cubes (depends on how many people you want to feed and how big your crock pot is)
2-8 sliced potatoes (depending on the size of potatoes and again how many you are feeding)
1 box of beef broth (you won't need the whole box)
1 can of corn
any other vegetables you care to throw in and/or have room for
Add in the beef first, then potatoes, then corn and other veggies, and broth last. Only put enough broth to coat all of the other ingredients. Then set on low and cook for 8 hours. Delicious homemade beef stew.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken
So one day I bought a box of parmesan crusted chicken and attempted to make it. Needless to say, it didn't go well. The instructions the box had were clearly not right and it turned out horribly. So I thought to myself, hmmm I'll bet I can make my own darn parmesan crusted chicken and make it better than this! So I did :) I'm happy to say this recipe turned out absolutely perfect and now I make it frequently!
Ingrediants
1+ lbs of chicken (depending on how many people you're feeding, also I've used chicken breasts and chicken cutlets, the cutlets tend to work better and take less cooking time)
about 2/3 container of grated parmesan cheese
1-2 cups of breadcrumbs (again depending on how much chicken you have)
2 eggs
splash of milk (I've never measured it, honestly)
Pam and cooking oil to coat the pan with
Take a pan, set it on the stovetop. Spray with PAM and coat with a thin layer of cooking oil. Then in a wide bowl, mix 2 eggs and a splash of milk to make your batter.
Then, on a plate, mix together the breadcrumbs and the parmesan cheese. Without the breadcrumbs, the cheese does not hold together well and it doesn't turn out right. The breadcrumbs give just enough consistency to make it hold together really nicely and turn that nice golden brown that we want.
Dip the chicken in first the egg batter and then coat it heavily with the cheese and breadcrumb mixture. Then put into the pan and set on med-low. Repeat with all pieces of chicken. Turn them over in the pan when they get that nice golden brown color and then when all pieces are brown on both sides, put them onto a cooking sheet to go into the oven.
Cook in oven for an additional 20-40 minutes, depending on how thick the pieces of chicken are. If you used thick chicken breasts, you'll want to do the 40. If thin cutlets, the 20 will be more than sufficient. Then take out of oven and serve! It is delicious :)

And the Verdict Is.....
It was a success! Now, if you like crispier bacon, you may not care for bacon in the crock pot. It does not get crispy at all, it just darkens a bit and gets to where it breaks apart real easy. But, the combination of flavors with the chicken, bacon, bacon grease, and dressing, was just heaven in our mouths! I did use quite a bit of bacon though and for me, it was a bit overwhelming. My husband however thought it was absolutely great. So you may want to lightly wrap some pieces and do some heavier, depending on preferences for those in your household. But overall, a definite success!
Bacon Wrapped Chicken (in crock pot)
This is actually a new experiment of mine that is in the crock pot as we speak! So I will be updating this post after we actually sit down to dinner and eat it. I wanted to try this one because 1. My husband, like a lot of men, absolutely loves bacon, and 2. we had a whole pack of unopened bacon laying in the fridge that was probably gonna go bad soon. So I was thinking of ways to use it and said ok how about I wrap chicken breasts with the bacon, marinate it in some italian dressing, and throw it in the crock pot. Sounded good to me (and my husband agreed) so yeah here we are ;)
Ingrediants:
chicken breasts (I used 2 but you can use as many as will fit in your crock pot)
Italian dressing (I used Ken's Northern Italian with Basil and Romano but you can use your favorite)
Bacon! (at least 1 pack, more if making 3+ pieces of chicken)
Basically you simply take slices of bacon and wrap them around the chicken breast until it is fully covered. To wrap the 2 breasts that I used took almost an entire pack of bacon. I then placed the bacon wrapped chicken in the crock pot, threw the remaining slices of bacon in on top, then poured the Italian dressing over the whole thing. I put it on high for 4-5 hours because I did not get up early enough to cook it on low, but ideally it's always best to cook things with marinades on low because on high it can sometimes obliterate the marinade.
So that's it really. Not hard, right? I will be updating later as to how it actually tasted so stay tuned ;)

Introduction
Hi! My name is Cindy and this blog is going to be mainly about recipes that I either completely invent myself or do my own take on. I decided to make a blog out of them partly to share them with anyone else who may want to try them, and partly because if I don't write some of them down I'm likely to forget them myself! A lot of the recipes will be crock pot recipes, as I am disabled and it's hard for me to stand over a stove. I love to cook though and since the crock pot is an easy way to cook without having to do much standing, I've been inventing a lot of recipes by simply taking stuff we have in the house and throwing it together in the crock pot. It's actually turned out really well! So hope everyone enjoys :)
